Pulp Fiction, Trainspotting, Office Space ...

Pretty much anything Robert Rodriguez, John Sayles, Tarantino, or Guy Ritchie (at least where Madonna is blissfully absent!) ...

... Ministry, Revolting Cocks, Sublime, Femmes, Pixies/Breeders/Frank Black (et al), Crystal Method, NIN (seeing them for like the 4th time 08.16.08 here in Houston! :), Horton Heat, Lords of Acid, etc.

Too many others to name!

  • fast and slow pitch softball

  • reading

  • saltwater fishing

  • hunting

  • ... and anything near the water!

... There's not enough room on this page.

Favorite authors: Anne Rice, Stephen King, and too many others to name ranging from Evanovich to Vonnegut to Alighieri.

Favorite books of all time:

  • "A Confederacy of Dunces", J.K. Toole
  • "Managing Ignatius", Jerry Strahan

  • "The Dark Tower" series by King

  • "Mythology", Edith Hamilton

  • "Trainspotting", Irvine Welsh

Just recently added to that list:

  • "Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini

  • "Good Omens (The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch)"

(Great book, and I definitely want to pick up some more by Terry Pratchett!)

Always have one or more geeky I.T. books (.nET, AJAX, VBA or something that contains "SQL" in the title - LOL) going simultaneously.

Yes, sadly, I enjoy them. :)

Lone Star (Galveston), Harley Rendezvous

A FAVORITE QUOTE ... (credit to my friend, Jason) ...

"My favorite thing about you not smoking, Pam, is when you flick your "Nicotine Polacrilex" candy at me ... it doesn't hurt so much."

My friends would describe me as outgoing, uninhibited, a total spaz, and their favorite nerd.

Oh, sure, perhaps they'd call me "that *insufferable* bitch!", as well, but it's an endearment.

At least that's what they tell me - LOL.

I speak freely, not always nicely, and have no tolerance for fools or games. Don't pose a question to me if you *really* don't want an answer.

Intelligent, fun, down-to-earth friends are always welcomed.

If you have a strong personality, a twisted sense of humor, and are confident without cockiness, you've already met the basic criteria.

(emphasis on the twisted sense of humor!)

It's silly I even need to say this, BUT ...

If your car insurance rates dropped less than 5 years ago, it's HIGHLY unlikely we'll have much in common. If you email me in text message vernacular ("ur" is NOT a word, damnit!), I probably won't respond.

  • People who take pride in their word

  • Partners in crime who can make you laugh - no matter what

  • Friends who give as much as they take - yet realize friendship isn't a score to be tallied, nor is it calculated over the short-term.

  • A hard line drive between SS and 3rd :-)

  • A great smile

  • Positivity

  • 30 days leave a year!

Negative people, pushy people and whiners.

Poor hygiene, poor manners, poor attitude (not necessarily in that order)...

Anyone who believes a sexual comment or proposition is a perfectly approproiate way to introduce themselves!

(psssst .... "Hello. My name is _______" works just fine)
