It's been many years now that you have gone, I'm not supposed to still be missing you. I suck it up most of the time but the aching creeps back, a tear rolls and then I nod. Reality wakes me up ...wipe my tears ...smile ...remembering better times and almost but not quite, feel the warmth of you next to me.
I felt a wisp of air cross my face ...reminded me of your gentleness. I smiled ...then another tear. Reality is... I will never see or hear you again but, I thought about you today...

My friendship has value and I cherish and value the friends I've made I also know that as a friend I have plenty to offer in return. If someone pisses on that I don't give them another chance to prove who they are ...they've already proven their lack of value to me. I personally feel that most people nowadays who walked into my world that I've been a part of over 30 years are the same ones who didn't like me back in the 70's. Why should I like those people now?
